Finvetro Group

The FINVETRO Group is consisting of four different business areas: Technical Glass, Tableware, Automotive and Refractory. The Group’s management headquarters are located in Verona: some of the 5 companies run by the Group are based in this area as well.
The production plants are mainly located in Northern Italy, Austria and Bulgaria. Since the Fifties the Group has been maintaining a leadership position in the technology of pressed glass at an industrial level in highly specialized fields.
Its growth path is also enhanced by a careful quality control of its production chain: in fact, its glass-pressing machinery represents a core business for the Group.
The Elelco Project
The project foresaw the implementation of ELELCO-Plus Manufacturing to replace the existing custom-made software and a package to run the accounting.
Involved in the project were the Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing Areas.
The project started in February 2006 and developed as follows:
- Start-up of the FINANCE area in the offices of FINVETRO, ALT, BORROMINI, NOVAREF, VETRERIE RIUNITE and VETRI DELLE VENEZIE since April 2006 and those of TECHNOGLASS (a company located in Austria) since July 2007;
- Start-up of the DISTRIBUTION and MANUFACTURING areas in the offices of VETRERIE RIUNITE since July 2006, those of VETRI DELLE VENEZIE since January 2007, and those of TECHNOGLASS since July 2008.
Some of the companies merged during the project’s implementation progress (BORROMINI and VETRERIE RIUNITE, VETRI DELLE VENEZIE).
Other activities were started during 2008, e.g.:
- Order acquisition process directly via the Web;
- Order acquisition process during exhibitions, via portable handheld terminals;
- Direct management of sale-points (outlets).
ELELCO-Plus Manufacturing is installed at Elelco’s DATA CENTRE and is supplied in OUTSOURCING mode.
