SOMOVA is a leading company in the area of packaging for cosmetics and personal care products, in particular as far as both aerosol and non-aerosol dispensing systems and related plastic accessories are concerned.

The company’s activity is based on innovation related to both design and functionality of its products. Thanks to its long-lasting experience in this field and the top quality of its items, today Somova counts a number of major multinationals in the field of cosmetics and personal care among its best customers.

Since 2000 SOMOVA has been part of the APTAR Group, a Division of Seaquist Perfect Dispensing, which is a global manufacturer of aerosol valves, micro-pumps and accessories for the most varied applications. Its merging into the APTAR Group and the development of ensuing both technical and commercial synergies allowed SOMOVA to boost its product selection and strengthen its activity by designing new products.

The ELELCO Project

The project foresaw the implementation of Elelco-Plus Manufacturing to replace the existing custom made software and a package to manage the Accounting. It was supposed to accomplish not only the requirements in the Finance Area but solve as well the needs related to the Management of inventory, material flows, stock, bills of materials, suppliers’ orders, production orders and the Management Control, too.

The modules of Elelco-Plus Manufacturing implemented at SOMOVA were the following: Accounting, Income Sources, Agents, Active Cycle and Passive Cycle, Inventory & Logistics, Management and Production Control.

As a consequence of the decision made, SOMOVA was able to get rid of the various software previously available and therefore rationalize its Business Management, keep its sensible information secure and have a common database available.

Elelco implemented the processes in the areas Management Control and Inventory – Logistics and optimized them in order to accomplish SOMOVA’s requirements; modern and innovative tools were used aiming at enhancing its workflows, keeping track of the entire chain-supply, reducing its operation times and providing both its internal staff and customers with a precise and punctual service.

The production processes were optimized and implemented according to the actual needs of the company; all the steps of the production cycle were thereby integrated into the other modules.

Today SOMOVA is in a position to have a clear-cut and on-time view on its industrial costs and has full control on all its company’s processes: from the customer order to inventory, from the supplier order to production up to the goods delivery.

ELELCO-Plus Manufacturing is installed at Elelco’s DATA CENTRE and is supplied in OUTSOURCING mode.
